To meet effectiveness standards, surgical scrubs must demonstrate both immediate antimicrobial action and persistent effectiveness for up to six hours post-scrub. Some formulations may also exhibit a residual accumulative effect, becoming more effective with repeated use as active ingredients bond to the skin’s surface over time.

Our testing includes the Glove Juice Sampling Method, which measures microbial reductions on the skin after product use. Testing typically involves:

Repeated product application over several days.
Sampling at immediate, six-hour, and, if needed, 12-hour intervals on test day.
